No. Grade describes the adhesive's resistance to moisture at the glue line, not load capacity. For strength, look at thickness, core construction and span rather than grade.

Do I need to seal the cut edges?

Yes, and it matters more than moving up a grade. Every cut exposes the core, and an unsealed edge draws moisture in regardless of how good the panel is. Band it, prime it, or at minimum lacquer the hidden edges.

Is marine plywood only for boats?

No. The name describes the bonding standard, not the application. It is the right specification for any permanently damp interior location — and a kitchen base unit sitting on a floor that gets mopped daily qualifies.

How do I verify a panel is genuinely IS 710?

Check the ISI mark on the sheet for the IS number and the CM/L licence number, and confirm the licence is current. A panel described as marine without an IS 710 mark and licence number is a description, not a certification.
