Does a higher grade mean a stronger panel?

No. Grade describes the adhesive's resistance to moisture at the glue line, not load capacity. For strength, look at thickness, core construction and span rather than grade.

Do I need to seal the cut edges?

Yes, and it matters more than moving up a grade. Every cut exposes the core, and an unsealed edge draws moisture in regardless of how good the panel is. Band it, prime it, or at minimum lacquer the hidden edges.

What does calibrated finish actually mean?

The panel is sanded to a consistent thickness across the whole sheet within a tight tolerance. It matters for flush joinery, for hardware that expects an exact panel thickness, and it reduces the sanding needed before a laminate or polish goes on.

When would I need the 2745 mm sheet?

Full-height wardrobe and storage units in rooms with a high slab. A 2440 mm sheet forces a horizontal joint you then have to hide; a 2745 mm sheet runs the full height in one piece.
